If you have a hard time sleeping, this is pretty much guaranteed to help you get a good night’s rest – which is extremely important for getting and staying healthy. I’ve always had a hard time sleeping soundly. But when I started doing this, I immediately noticed that I slept better, woke up feeling rested and I’m told that I don’t snore when I do this either.
It’s really simple, too:
- Heat up 8 ounces of water (I use my Keurig to dispense hot water)
- Add 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar – specifically, Bragg’s Organic Raw and Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar
- Add 1 tablespoon of honey
- Stir, sip, sleep
I actually read about this in Tim Ferriss’ book Tools of Titans. I tried it that same night and was amazed at the immediate results. As I sat there and sipped this little concoction, I found myself getting drowsier and drowsier until I couldn’t hold my head up.
Note that I only use the unfiltered vinegar – with “the mother”.
Sometimes I will just add 2 tablespoons of ACV to about 8 ounces of really cold water and drink that.
There’s a lot written about the potential benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar, but most of it lacks reference to conclusive research about those benefits. So I’m not going to tell you that it will burn fat or anything of that nature because there simply doesn’t seem to be enough evidence.
What I can say for sure is that since I’ve started using ACV, I don’t get heartburn or acid reflux anymore (which used to frequently wake me up at night) – it’s completely gone – and I sleep a whole lot better. It could well be a placebo effect, but I’ll take it all the same.
